Rewatching The Wire. This scene, omg. It only now occurred to me that when Garak asked for the hypospray back, he more than likely meant to overdose and kill himself. His face here when he realizes that Bashir still wants to help him after spinning such an ugly tale… It’s Bashir’s affection for his friend, not his skill as a doctor which saves Garak’s life. Had Bashir walked out on him then, Garak would have been dead.
